If my career in tech didn't take off the way it did, I probably would have been a psychotherapist or social worker. I'm fascinated by the fields of psychology, so when I learned of the book, "How to Change Your Mind: What the New Science of Psychedelics Teaches Us About Consciousness, Dying, Addiction, Depression, and Transcendence" by Michael Pollan, I was intrigued.
I recently experienced the passing of both of my parents, and I've become interested in learning more about dying, consciousness, and more. There's a bit of a buzz around micro-dosing these days, and I think it's interesting to be at this point where we can learn more about our brains and feelings by transcending reality. It's deep, I know. I'm of the belief that we still know very little about the mind, and that a psychological revolution is ahead of us. This book is a good preface into this world.
