Just Breathe

Just Breathe

Here's a simple thing that I do during my day to stay focused and centered. Before I walk into a meeting (whether in person, video, or phone), I close my eyes, take three deep breaths, and then I join the meeting. This simple, quick break has had a profound impact on my presence and focus in meetings.

My schedule is often packed with back-to-back meetings. I'm running from one thing to the next with little time to digest information or thoughts. Taking three deep breaths has a magical impact. They act as a breaking point between the last meeting and the next meeting. They restart my energy and attention. I can do them easily and quickly without anyone even noticing.

If you're struggling to stay ahead, and you're feeling like your days take you rather than you taking your days, try this simple exercise for thirty days. You won't regret it.

Shanti. Shanti.
