#Non-fiction Thinking & Decisions

Why I recommend it

I wish I had read this book earlier. Its principles of persuasion make patterns in management, marketing, and everyday decisions easier to see, which is why I recommend it to leaders.

What it changed in my thinking

It made me more attentive to the shortcuts underneath a yes. Understanding reciprocity, authority, scarcity, and social proof helps me communicate more deliberately and notice when I am being moved.

Who it’s useful for

Managers, leaders, product builders, marketers, and anyone curious about psychology and consumer behavior.

A tension or limitation

The same principles that clarify influence can be used to manipulate. The ethical question is not only whether a technique works, but whose interests it serves.
