Why I recommend it

This book makes the architecture around a choice visible. It shows how defaults, framing, and small design decisions influence behavior even when every option technically remains available.

What it changed in my thinking

It reinforced that there is no neutral way to present a decision. Product and policy choices already shape behavior, so designers should take responsibility for the values embedded in them.

Who it’s useful for

Product designers, leaders, policymakers, and anyone building systems in which other people make choices.

A tension or limitation

Helpful guidance can slide into paternalism or manipulation. A nudge deserves scrutiny about consent, transparency, and who decided what outcome is best.
