The Art of Thinking Clearly
Why I recommend it
Dobelli makes common thinking errors easy to recognize. The short chapters give us a way to pause and question the assumptions behind a decision, whether we’re leading a team or figuring something out in our own lives.
What stayed with me
It’s easy to spot a flaw in someone else’s reasoning. Applying that same curiosity to our own thinking takes more effort, especially when we’ve already invested time or money in being right.
Who it’s useful for
Leaders, founders, and anyone curious about why we make the decisions we do. The short chapters also make it easy to pick up one idea at a time.
A tension or limitation
Knowing the name of a thinking error doesn’t mean we’ll stop making it. These are useful starting points for reflection, but a few pages can’t capture every situation where an idea might apply.
