Why it’s here

Yep, I co-authored this book and, of course, it’s on my bookshelf.

Mathias Meyer and I wrote it as part memoir and part practical guide to building human-centered organizations around inclusion, clarity, and learning. It brings together what we learned—often through mistakes—about meetings, strategy, feedback, delegation, trust, and the everyday work of leading teams.

What stayed with me

Writing the book made our implicit beliefs about leadership explicit. Intention is not a statement of values; it is the repeated work of translating those values into decisions, systems, and behavior.

Who it’s useful for

Founders, managers, and leaders who want practical ways to build organizations where people can do meaningful work with greater clarity, agency, and trust.

A tension

No leadership framework can remove the contradictions and tradeoffs of organizational life. The practices in this book are starting points that still require judgment, adaptation, and honest attention to context.
