Why I recommend it
Robinson imagines both climate catastrophe and attempts to respond to it. He brings policy, technology, and ordinary lives into the same future.
What stayed with me
A crisis this large takes many imperfect efforts. No single invention or person can solve it.
Who it’s useful for
Readers interested in climate fiction and possible responses to climate change.
A tension or limitation
Parts read more like an exploration of ideas than a conventional novel. The characters sometimes take second place.
