Why I recommend it
This is one of the denser books on my product reading list, but it gives rigorous language to queues, batch size, variability, and the economics of delay. It treats product development as a flow problem without pretending uncertainty can be removed.
What it changed in my thinking
It made the cost of waiting more visible to me. Smaller batches and faster feedback are not just process preferences; they preserve options and expose learning while it can still change a decision.
Who it’s useful for
Experienced product, engineering, and operations leaders who want a deeper model for prioritization, capacity, and development flow.
A tension or limitation
The density can obscure the practical value. It rewards slow reading and translation into a few relevant experiments rather than wholesale adoption of every principle.
