New Look, 2026 Edition

The site is now designed and built by hand. It’s a static site. The CMS behind it is 11ty. I write all my posts locally in Markdown. It’s hosted using Cloudflare Workers. I switched my newsletter to Beehiiv from Ghost, mostly because I have been wanting to try it for a while, and this is a good excuse.

I enjoy tinkering on the design of the site and deploy changes all the time, with a lot of support from AI coding tools. It’s a fun playground and a great time to be a builder.

I’m not sure how many editions of my site have existed over the years. I’ve been publishing content on the web for a long time. I wish I had saved all of my previous versions and posts, but alas. I still like having a personal site, and I value owning my content. Here’s a post I wrote back in December 2016 on the independent web. I’m even more concerned now about the open web, and I am happy to contribute via this little personal site.
