What it changed in my thinking

A team structure should help people do the work. Copying another company’s org chart won’t necessarily solve your problem.

Who it’s useful for

Engineering managers and leaders dealing with growth, reorganizations, or overloaded teams.

A tension or limitation

Much of the advice comes from large tech companies. Smaller teams won’t need all of it.
