How to Decide
Why I recommend it
This is a practical toolkit for making choices under uncertainty. Duke is good at separating the quality of a decision from the luck contained in its outcome.
What it changed in my thinking
It reinforced the value of recording what I believed before the result was known. That creates a more honest basis for learning than reconstructing certainty afterward.
Who it’s useful for
Leaders, product teams, and anyone making consequential choices with incomplete information and noisy feedback.
A tension or limitation
Decision tools can create useful discipline, but they can also become another way to delay. Some choices are reversible enough that acting and learning is the better process.
