Thinking, Fast and Slow
Why I recommend it
This is a sweeping account of intuitive and deliberate thought. It gives memorable language to biases, effort, confidence, and the shortcuts that shape judgment.
What it changed in my thinking
It made me less likely to equate confidence with accuracy. Slowing down does not guarantee a good decision, but it can create space to notice when intuition is answering an easier question.
Who it’s useful for
Leaders, product builders, coaches, and anyone curious about the machinery behind everyday judgment.
A tension or limitation
Some studies behind the field have not replicated cleanly, and the two-system metaphor is a simplification. The book is best used as a source of questions rather than a diagnostic manual.
